MAF's International Women Leading FoodTech Community

The Modern Agriculture Foundation is the only organization in Israel that focuses on empowering women in the foodtech industry. Our global community gathers industry experts, founders, CEOs, government representatives, and venture capitalists from around the world. We work to close the gender gap in the foodtech industry by fostering international collaboration, elevating women's visibility, and offering valuable resources to nurture their skills and expand their global impact.
The Modern Agriculture Foundation is excited to announce that the call for nominations for Leading Women in Foodtech 2025 will open soon. Stay tuned!

We support and promote the advancement of women in leadership within Israel’s thriving alternative proteins industry, while fostering international connections and opportunities.
Members Benefits
Professional Network
Quarterly in-person networking events for CEOs, CTOs, PhDs, government representatives, venture capitalists, and industry experts to come together to connect and collaborate.
Comprehensive Resources
A range of resources to empower women, from refining personal branding and negotiation skills to mastering investor pitches and navigating complex market entries.
Funding Prospects
By creating a strong network and supportive environment, we increase the chances of women leaders securing the funding they require to bring their innovative ideas to life.

Julia Vol, Head of International Partnerships
Leading MAF’s engagement with women-led Food and Agri-Tech communities worldwide, while supporting MAF members in connecting with international stakeholders to accelerate the commercialization of their solutions.
Gender-Gap Investment
1/3 of foodtech Israeli startups are led by women, double the high-tech industry rate.
But despite leading startups, women receive only 4% of foodtech investments.
Diversity for positive impact
Gender-diverse leadership is more than just breaking barriers; it's about making real and positive changes.
In fact, women-led startups tend to prioritize social impact and achieve higher revenue with less funding

The Leading Women in "Israeli Foodtech 2024 Awards" initiative focuses on recognizing women who work in various fields such as research, development, entrepreneurship, regulation, management, investments, mentoring, industry
and government.
We believe that these women, who have a vision for the future of Foodtech and are working towards making the world a better place, deserve to be recognized and celebrated.
In 2024, MAF has embarked on a journey to recognize and celebrate the revolutionary women in the Foodtech industry by creating a network of inspiring, trailblazing women, who hold influential positions.
The Leading Women in Israeli Foodtech 2024 Awards
After months of hard work, planning, and brainstorming with some of the most amazing women in the Israeli FoodTech scene, we finally gathered for the 2024 Women Leading FoodTech Ceremony Awards last night!
It was an event that went far beyond our expectations. As the sun went down and wine filled our glasses, the Netter Center - AgriFood & Climatech was filled with the warm feeling of familiarity, community, and connection.
As we enjoyed OPA (by Chef Shirel Berger and Sharona Berger) culinary delights showcasing the wonders of plant-based food, conversations went on and on with energy and enthusiasm.
And when we delved into the networking session led by the talented Dikla Goldstein Malamud, all were eager to connect even more, share even more, and learn from one another.
As the time came for the awards ceremony, the spotlight was turned to the remarkable women who have spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives, developed creative solutions to the challenges of the war, forged new pathways in the field of FoodTech, or made significant contributions to our community.
It was truly a testament to the incredible talent and innovation women bring to the vibrant Israeli FoodTech scene.
With the last hugs and goodbyes, it marked not an end, but a new benchmark in our journey towards a more sustainable, inclusive, compassionate, and delicious world.
Congratulations to the winners:
